Carer Wellbeing Break Payments

Carer wellbeing break payments are for carers to take a break and do something for themselves. They are provided by Surrey County Council

What is it?

A one-off payment of £300 to help you take a break from your caring role.

How can it be used?

Spend it in any way that helps you take a break, such as:

  • wellbeing activities or exercies
  • hobbies or learning new skills
  • day trips or over night breaks

Who can apply?

Unpaid carers who are:

  • 18 or older
  • Look after someone living in Surrey
  • Haven’t had a previous payment (eg form a GP)
  • haven’t used a carer break offer
  • aren’t getting support form Surrey Adult Social Care
  • aren’t paid for the support they provide
